Upon training with Nail Harmony in all things nails back in 2012, Antonia (the owner of Polished) soon realised that she had a passion and flair for natural nail care and hand painted gel polish nail art. These two specialities earned her a local reputation as a ‘nail specialist’ and her business soon grew, allowing her to open her own salon within the grounds of the prestigious Haycock Manor Hotel. Her reputation was further backed up when Antonia was nominated for ‘Natural Nail Specialist of the Year’ in the national nail awards; the Scratch Stars Awards in 2018, 2019 and 2020. Antonia’s motto – ‘Healthy nails are the prettiest nails!’

 

Antonia’s passion for nails has carried her career way beyond the salon, working as an assistant to the world-renowned celebrity manicurist; Marian Newman, creating nails for Vivienne Westwood photoshoots and working at London and Paris Fashion Week for top fashion houses such as; Victoria Beckham, Burberry, Vivienne Westwood, Stella McCartney and Tommy Hilfiger (to name a few!).

 

A self-confessed training addict, Antonia’s skills don’t end there! As well as committing to stacks of continual professional development each year, she is also trained in eyelash extensions (specialising specifically in Classic Lashes), facial waxing, lash lifts, tinting and brow treatments - all carried out with her trademark perfectionism, precision and desire to pamper her guests.

 

Antonia is passionate about raising the standards of the beauty industry and is one of the 20 founding members of the Salon Standards Alliance; a group of industry experts and professionals dedicated to raising consumer awareness of the high standards they should expect when visiting a salon.
